Bud Vases

This bud vase is thrown on the wheel using porcelain stoneware clay. The graphic on the vase has been hand-carved into the surface using the sgraffito technique, which involves covering the surface of the vase with our handmade black slip and carving away until the image is finished. This means you will notice and feel a slightly raised, carved texture. These bud vases are ideal for displaying those little flowers you pick on a walk, or the prettiest bloom from your garden. While I create different series of designs, each butter dish is made and decorated individually, so that no two pieces are identical. Each design is matched with one of our brightly coloured glazes.

Sizing:
All of my pieces are handmade, so individual sizes may differ slightly. I do my best to keep them as consistent as possible.
